For the processing of your personal data in the context of an application procedure, the BMWE responsible. In order to be able to make selection decisions in the application process, the BMWE information from applicants about themselves, their professional background, their training, their professional and personal qualifications and, if applicable, details of any severe disabilities or equal opportunities.
The certificates, CVs, cover letters and other documents you submit as part of the application process (usually via Interamt) contain personal data i.S.d. Art. 4 No. 1 GDPR. This personal data is processed by us exclusively and only to the extent necessary for the purpose of establishing an employment relationship (Art. 88 Abs. 1 GDPR i.V.m. § 26 Abs. 1 and 3 BDSG).
Within the BMWE only those employees who are entrusted with carrying out the selection procedure will have access to your personal data. The interest groups (Staff Council, Equal Opportunities Officer and Representative Body for Severely Disabled Employees) receive the data so that they can fulfill their duties in accordance with the BPersVG, the BGleiG or the SGB IX. The budget and organization departments are also involved in filling positions in the senior civil service. Disclosure of your personal data to persons or bodies outside the BMWE does not take place. Furthermore, no data is transferred to a country outside the European Union.
We do not use any automated decision-making procedures as part of the application process. If the application process leads to your recruitment, your documents will become part of your personnel file insofar as they are necessary for the performance of the employment relationship. Transmitted data that is not required for the employment relationship will be deleted five months after completion of the application process. If no employment relationship is established with you, the data you have submitted will also be deleted five months after the application process has been completed. Your application documents sent by post will be returned to you.
If you withdraw your application, we will delete your data immediately and return your documents to you.
Insofar as we process your personal data, you have the following rights vis-à-vis the BMWE to: right of access, right to rectification, right to restriction of processing, right to erasure, right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
