It supports start-ups all the way from the idea to market maturity. With programs, mentoring, infrastructure and access to capital, ZOLLHOF accelerates innovative start-ups and strengthens the region as a leading deep-tech location in Germany.

ZOLLHOF - Tech Incubator, in future ZOHO Factory, pursues the vision of developing Nuremberg and the metropolitan region into a leading start-up and innovation location for technology-driven start-ups in Germany. The close connection between research, entrepreneurship and industry creates sustainable solutions that drive digital technologies, digitalization and health tech innovations.
Bridge between science and business

As part of the Digital Hub initiative, ZOLLHOF is also a central point of contact for digital health and technology-driven innovations.

Mission and goals

The mission of the ZOHO Factory is to promote technology and research-based start-ups along the entire start-up pipeline and to sustainably increase the start-up dynamics in Northern Bavaria.

Central fields of action are:

Targeted programs for idea and business model development
Establishment of a TechSpace for prototyping, digital product development and testing
Establishment of a venture capital fund for early-stage financing
Scholarship programs and talent development for entrepreneurial talent

People behind ZOHO Faktory
Benjamin Bauer
CEO
He studied at Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU) and founded his own technology startup in Nuremberg and a startup association in Berlin while still a student. Eight years ago, he initiated ZOLLHOF, which has since developed into one of the fastest growing tech incubators in Germany and has supported more than 100 start-ups in recent years, around 70 percent of which are sustainably successful. His focus is on promoting and networking start-ups and developing the Franconian region into a supra-regional innovation hub. With the ZOHO Factory, he wants to create „the largest startup project that has ever existed in northern Bavaria" and contribute to the future viability of Germany as an internationally recognized startup hotbed.
